Grasses are very popular for screening. Not only can they distract you from parts of the house and garden you would rather not see all the time, but they can also be used to create a bit of mystery if they are planted off the border, growing into the open space. They provide colour, interest, movement and soothing sounds whilst also making you wonder what's at the bottom of the garden.

Here we have chosen two forms of calamagrostis, which although not evergreen look great even in winter and once cut down start growing much more quickly than other tall grasses such as miscanthus. We have combined them with Anemanthele lessoniana - the tallest evergreen grass at 1m to give colour all year round, the seedheads of which are a particular feast for finches through winter.

All plants will be in 10.5cm pots and ready for immediate planting.
