Luzula nivea snowy woodrush photo and description Luzula nivea ('Lucius') 60 x 30 Snowy woodrush. Showiest of the wood rushes with clusters of white flowers held high above foliage. Moist soil.
Luzula sylvatica Hohe Tatra photo and description Luzula sylvatica 'Hohe Tatra' ('Aurea', 'Tatra Gold') 60 x 100 From the Tatra mountains between Poland and Slovakia. Lime green wide leaves especially in shade. Moist soil, but drought tolerant.

Miscanthus sinensis Ferne Osten Far East photo and description Miscanthus sinensis 'Ferne Osten' 150 x 100 'Far East'. Shining, fluffy deep purple-red/brown flower spikes, ageing silver.
Miscanthus sinensis Flamingo photo and description Miscanthus sinensis 'Flamingo' 150 x 120 Lovely in flower with large pink/wine red open inflorescences. Good planted in groups and obviously next to ponds!
Miscanthus sinensis Giganteus sacchariflorus floridulus photo and description Miscanthus sinensis 'Giganteus' 300 x 120 Fantastic specimen grass. A clump former to 3m, with 3cm wide leaves. Flowers with us every year, with plumes of many silky fingers to 20cm long. Often plants labelled Miscanthus floridulus are 'Giganteus'

Molinia caerulea Variegata AGM photo and description Molinia caerulea 'Variegata' 100 x 60 Attractive green and yellow variegated leaves, age whiter. Airy green flower plumes, tinged dark purple.
Ophiopogon planiscapus Nigrescens Black Grass photo and description Ophiopogon planiscapus 'Nigrescens' AGM 20 x indef Black grass-like plant. Popular for its unusual effect with bright contrasting plants, such as snowdrops and erigeron.
